With its majestic cliffs and spectacular views, the beaches of the Algarve of Portugal provided no shortage of great photo opportunities. Here are a few of my favorites from my time spent training to become a professional beach bum. I think this could potentially be a new career path!
The first comes from Sagres, Portugal, near the western most point of Europe.
This area of Portugal, at the southwestern point of Europe, is known as a surfer’s paradise. After my second attempt at surfing, I still couldn’t get the hang of standing up on the board. Check out this surfer! He seemed to know what he was doing.
Next is Lagos, about 40 minutes by bus from Sagres. It’s more of a touristy spot and therefore a lot busier, but the beaches were still beautiful. The main beach was incredibly crowded, but if you walked down the road for about 10 minutes, you find this!
So do you want to go see the beaches of the Algarve yet? Where are your favorite beaches you’ve been to?

Hi Nick, my favorite one is Praia do Barril, near Tavira.
You should try it.

I will next time I’m in Portugal, which hopefully won’t be too far away!
