Interlaken is a small town in southern Switzerland situated in a valley surrounded by the Swiss Alps. The scenery is beautiful and it’s also known as the adventure sports capital of Europe, making it a very popular spot for backpackers.
The first day, with my friends Karen and Lindsey, we hiked about 2/3 of the way up what we were told was one of the easiest mountain trails in the area. I didn’t think it was so easy. It was a super hot day as well, so I guess that made it a bit tougher.
Later that night, we decided to go up a smaller mountain and get some night shots of the city.
The next day, we decided to rent scooters and ride up the road to Grindewald, which was about 25km or so away from Interlaken. On our way up, we stopped by these caverns that have waterfalls inside. I think there were about 9 or 10 waterfalls inside.
After we finished exploring these caves, we made our way up to Grindewald, which had an amazing view at the base of some of the largest mountains in the area.
The next day I went and took some pictures around Interlaken before I had to catch my train.
Next up: Hang Gliding and Canyoning!
