FotoFriday: Casa Loma in Toronto

This week’s photo is of Casa Loma in Toronto. It’s a gothic style house first opened in 1937 and is located basically in the middle of the city. This was the first time I’d been to Toronto since I was little, so it was pretty exciting for me.

  • Nice shot of Casa Loma. When were you in Toronto? You’ll have to let me know next time you’re in my ‘hood. 😉

It’s sad that Sir Henry Pellatt died a pauper, through little fault of his own (the govt expropriated two of his business ventures and then the Great Depression hit) and never really got to enjoy Casa Loma to any great extent.

    • I didn’t know much of the history behind it since there was a wedding going on when I visited. That’s interesting.

Next time l’ll be Toronto will be probably be for TBEX so we’ll definitely meet up then.
