This week’s photo is of some people on stilts during the opening parade of WDS last year in Portland. They seemed pretty giant. Have you ever tried to walk on stilts?

I have enjoyed walking on stilts for over 30 years. Now approaching 66 years old, I still enjoy the thrill of vertical instability that comes with balancing on stilts with circular feet only about 2 inches across. I do not perform like those in yuour super photo, but I go cross-country and take stilts where there is always a challenge to be overcome like slimy mud, sheet ice or flights of steps.
You do not stop playing because you got old – you get old when you stop playing.
I’ve never tried walking on stilts, but it seems extremely challenging!
