The pre-TBEX (PreBEX) festivities began with a pub crawl Wednesday night for anyone that was already in town, and there were a lot of us! We went to 6 or 7 places by the end of the night, all hosted by Turner PR. The bars I can remember (not because of any sort of intoxication, of course) were Great Divide Brewery, Breckenridge Brewery, Denver Beer Co., Lucky Pie Pizza, and the Whiskey Bar to finish out the night.

The next morning when I wasn’t feeling all that great, I followed a recommendation from a new friend in Denver to check out a breakfast spot called Snooze A.M. Eatery. This was probably my best decision of the day!
I started off with some delicious pineapple upside down pancakes, which had caramelized pineapple chunks, a vanilla crème anglaise, and cinnamon butter. My mouth is watering just writing about them. As I was enjoying those, one of the waitresses very generously brought me a cinnamon roll pancake to try! I thought the first pancakes were amazing, but the cinnamon roll one was even better! Like heaven in my mouth! Along with some pretty good coffee, it was a great hangover cure. I definitely recommend a stop here next time you’re in Denver!

Check out Snooze Denver as well as my other TBEX posts!

Quite an impressive job on the pancakes! They looked amazing!
Looks amazing!! We stayed at a bed and breakfast, so we weren’t able to make it out to Snooze…next time I am in Denver, I am so there!!
Kinda jealous that you got to try the pancakes at Snooze A.M. I was on my way there when I got sidetracked by the serendipitous appearance of all those food trucks I was telling you about. I love that Snooze offers a “pancake flight” similar to a wine tasting, so that you can try three different flavours of pancakes in succession instead of having to choose just one.
I didn’t do the pancake tasting, but I did try 2 different kinds. The cinnamon roll was my favorite! Make sure you check it out next time you’re in Denver.
